Product Description

If you want to maintain the original look of your Magneto then this replacement housing is the one for you. We have:

  • Made the cap black
  • Allowed more room under the cap for the wiring
  • Moved the exit point for the wires to the side so they can come out more discreetly under the frame.  
  • We've used anodised durable finishes in black and clear that won’t show fingerprints and are easily cleaned.
  • The compatibility with the drive gear taper and shaft is maintained.  

One piece (unit as pictured). High quality CNC machined billet alloy housing with shaft, bearing, cap, pillar bolts, nuts, washer and bolts.

This unit replaces the standard K1F, K2F, KVF magneto or distributor on pre-unit Triumph, Norton, BSA, AJS, Matchless, Royal Enfield and other engines for upgrading to 12 volt electronic ignition. Accepts electronic ignition systems that are designed to replace points for British motorcycles.

The main shaft is tapered to accept a manual advance gear. Manual advance gear to suit particular engine will also be required. Automatic advance unit will not suit electronic ignition.
