For twin cylinder bikes the kit includes Housing, Classic Twin ignition, Dual output coil (IGC-2012), leads and spark plug caps.
For single cylinder bikes please contact us prior to ordering and we will supply a different ignition coil.
A battery is required to get the best possible results such as easy starting. A 12-volt 4 Ahr battery would be fine – should be about half the size of a house brick.
The Magneto Replacment (MRK-0001) has electronic advance and retard built in. It requires a solid drive gear (no springs and weights) which is not included in the kit.
You can set the timing statically using the built-in LED on the module – it simply requires that you accurately position the engine at the fully advanced crank position for the setup procedure.

Pre Unit Triumph Magneto replacement1 August 2020I have replaced the aging BTH magneto in my 500cc T100 engined TRIBSA with the Trispark magneto replacement kit. The bike has been difficult to start and I wanted to take advantage of available technology. The fitment was straightforward with everything you need supplied in the kit. The unit is well made with Nachi bearings on the shaft and is much more compact and lighter than the magneto. After installation, you can clean the engine in places you never could before. The bike runs on 12 volt negative earth but I think they make them for all configurations. The bike started on the second kick, something it has never done for me before. I now get first kick hot starts too. Idle is rock solid, no misses or hesitation and the more you twist the throttle, the faster the bike goes. I am really happy with the way it is running, it has transformed the bike for me. This is the most happy I've ever been after spending 600 bucks on the bike.
