Kit includes Housing, Classic Twin ignition, Dual output coil IGC-2012 and caps.
We offer versions for 12-volt or 6-volt operation, please specify when ordering. A battery is required to get the best possible results such as easy starting. A 4 Ahr battery would be fine – should be about half the size of a house brick.
The MRK is available with electronic advance and retard or fixed timing (no advance and retard). The fixed timing version enables the use of your mechanical auto advance if required, please specify when ordering. If you wish to use the electronic advance version, you will need a solid drive gear. We don’t supply any gears in the kit so you will need to check that before ordering.
You can set the timing statically using the built-in LED on the module – it simply requires that you accurately position the engine at the fully advanced crank position for the setup procedure. Checking with a timing disk and a strobe light would be ideal.
